Are you an experienced and enthusiastic palliative care assistant looking to make a difference to the lives of people in your local community? Or lack experience but are passionate about helping others and would like to make a difference?  

Do you want flexibility with the opportunity to work as many hours around your schedule? If so, we would love to hear from you! We are currently recruiting for palliative care assistants to support our clients and provide personal and person-centred care in the community.

If you are wanting a career within healthcare but lack paid experience, we offer a qualification called the Care Certificate to get you started. Free training and support will be provided, you will be paired up with an experienced carer and have regular face to face support sessions until the qualification is complete. Our care certificate is a recognized award and has a high success rate. In order for Routes to offer you the care cert all you would need a full U.K driving licence and access to your own vehicle.

Your responsibilities will include assisting clients with day to day living activities, clinical interventions, moving and handling, prompting medication and meal preparation. You will be helping assist clients to live independently in their own homes.

Rate of Pay: £9.20 per hour
Mileage included: £10 per shift

Location: Accrington and surrounding areas
